Job Description

Provide mechanical maintenance engineering services Fiberline.

ACCOUNTABILITIES: What Tembec expects you to do  
People
  • Promote and provide a safe workplace, seek improvements, and support H&S program.
  • Support tradesmen and other staff by providing advice or guidance when requested.
  • Maintain a communications program to keep all employees informed.
  • Support compliance with collective agreement and sound union/management/employee relations.
  • Report to Superintendent – Mechanical (Fiberline).
 
Operations
  • Identify, develop and support or manage the implementation of Repair Project Authorization projects.
  • Troubleshoot repetitive problem with the Mechanical Supervisors.
  • Coordinate shutdown with the Maintenance Planner and the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Perform modifications, repairs and inspections of power piping, pressure vessels and safety valves in compliance with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) code.
  • Monitor monthly repair project spending to support Maintenance Superintendent in meeting budget.
  • Analyze current problems, potential problems and opportunities as assigned and provide recommendations.
  • Identify and recommend cost reduction opportunities to the Maintenance Superintendent.
  • Support the implementation of a system that meets Quality Management System (ISO 9001-2) and Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) standards.
  • Keep up to date with new technology and management methods.
  • Support and promote the implementation and execution of a preventative and predictive maintenance program.
  • Support and relieve the maintenance supervisor as required.
 
REQUIREMENTS: What you bring to our workplace
  • Education: University degree in Engineering.
  • Experience: 3 years in a related field.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Windows (MS Excel, MS Word).
  • Bilingual: French mandatory, English would be an asset.
  • Eligible to become a member of Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec or Ontario Society of Professional Engineers.
